Causes & Effects

In an attempt to work myself out some muscles, the 2 hours intensive cardio & weight training session has rendered me a pack of aching muscular bundles still covered with layers of fat.

The spread duvet on the ground which I slept on all night made me feel like a mass of flesh that had rapidly rolled down the sides of the Mambilla Plateau.

I know that in a little while, it will all go away but for now, if this is the punishment I must serve for being away from the gym in 2months, then so be it.

I must loose some weight and regain some sexiness.

For all its worth, I have to brave it and face this mission and its assumed masculinity with all I’ve got.

Please Note: This is for lack of a better post.

    I realised it had been 6 weeks since I had worked out properly. But it had not been 6 weeks since I had stopped eating! I can't lift my hands higher than my shoulder today but it will be worth it.

    Relish the pain, it means you have shocked your body.

    PS Make sure though that you are warming up and cooling down properly, no need to pack on extra pain!

  3. ~Caramel, ...and second too. i bet you didn't (can't) push as much weights, what did you do that's aching your hand? anyway, i'm back there today for Day 3...still trying to figure what parts i should work. i cant resist the weights temptation

  5. No way would I be lifting your weights! Talking about weights, you need to mix cardio work with all your weights that you are lifting. High cardio work out is still the best way to burn fat, that way the muscles you are building will show ;) How about you work out four times a week? Two days for weights and two days for just cardio, like the treadmill. That way you also give your body a chance to recover from whichever part of your body you had worked on previously.

  6. Oh sugar didn't ans your question! I did a circuit class where the instructor lays out different weights and exercise equipement (read traps) and we split up and spend 2 mins on each station. Never pausing for 45 mins. Eg you do push ups, then skipping, then weights etc. Hmmmm not funny oh! Then I stayed on for Yoga (mistake) it was an intermediate class and that is what finally finished off my arms :)

  9. YAY for gym rats. I was away for 4mnths, so i'm paying now. But me and weights....NOT!!!
    Plenty cardio and strenght training and abs, and i'm good.

    Being sexy is not easy!

  10. I am totally with you. I haven't been to the gym in like 1-2 months and I know that when I return, it won't be an easy thing but sexy must reign whether she likes it or not.

  11. ~solomonsydelle, I’ve been away for over 2months due to sheer laziness & like Caramel, I didn’t stop eating for once…if I rest now, I might slip into that lazy spirit again…NO WAY

    ~Caramel, you seriously sound like a pro…shame dey catch me. my only problem is that I have gotten too lazy for cardio, I hate the treadmill…unless I’ve got company…besides we don’t have the luxury of instructors taking us on those kinda sessions *sighs*

    I'm not the only one who strayed.

    2 months! ONLY!!!!
    I was away for 6 years!!!!
    Went back last month- High intensity cardio, Just started my weights 2 days ago, so now I'm alternating both.
    Which is what you need to do to burn fat and stay toned.......
